I got a new Dell G15, loads of stuff didn't work, it was running like trash and so hot. After giving up I reinstalled windows and it fixed every single issue, it's wild these manufacturers do this to us!

To clarify: This has to do with the bloatware that manufacturers tend to have pre-installed on laptops and pre-built desktop PCs. Less programs running = Less RAM used!

Windows likes to eat ram. I tend to see around 20% usage and thats with 128gbs of ram. When chrome said it likes alot of ram windows up and said "hold my beer".

as a pc builder/fliper check your bios first asus has a setting in the bios to install bloatware like armory crate upon fresh os install.
So this would not work as it would reinstall those ram hogs.

Just download more RAM
Also, make sure to check your windows install periodically. Windows will install random crap that will start itself on boot

It's always fun finding the drivers for your specific laptop too. I prefer just disabling and uninstalling stuff thats using resources

Alternatively... Do a fresh install of any Linux distro. Most of those use a metric fawktonne less ram than Winderps.

I got a cute 'lil Zenbook with 8gb of ram for emails, YouTube, & lesson planning. Before I wiped it, Windows 11 was using 6.7gb of RAM with NO APPLICATIONS OPEN. After the cleaning and adding Arc Command Center, I've been pleasantly surprised that the 13500h can handle Remnant: From the Ashes and Destiny 2 at maxed textures & everything else set to low.
