Dimebag is one of the greatest ‘shredders’ in metal music. Cantrell’s riffs are so sludgy and creative. He is equally talented, but expresses in a different way - it’s natural that they would’ve been friends.
It’s hard to pick a favorite from Dime b/c he created masterpieces every time he played……the break down in ‘This Love’ is plain nasty. The intros to ‘Walk’ & ‘Cowboys from Hell’ are massively well recognized. ‘5 Minutes Alone’…..come on! He was a master & genius at his craft.
