Yep, you’re absolutely right!
I am always working on being able to touch all my critters, everywhere & in any/every scenario possible.
The more I do this, the more comfortable they get, and the less concerned they are about someone walking up and touching them in their flank/feet etc.
For instance, our dog, King, has had to have several medical procedures without anesthesia (he cannot be put under anesthesia ever again, because he has two heart conditions) and they’re always so surprised that he just lets them do it, & he’s super relaxed/not stressed at all. He loves attention but especially from the vet because they are all experienced animal people.
I actually have a difficult time getting him to leave 😂
