We are having a bit of very unseasonal rain here in NorthEast Thailand and, when it rains, the snakes that spend most of their time underground come out. We caught this Sunbeam Snake in the dark but showing off their iridescence in the direct light is so much better. These are very opportunistic feeders and they will eat other snakes. Today is my last day here at the house before I make the solo journey back to the USA to do a big reptile expo so quite happy to be able to show you all one more quick look at what snakes we have living around our house.

Beautiful! I kept a pair of these Snakes years ago and found them to be interesting and straightforward to care for. They fed very well on Mice once settled in and I never had any problems with them.

Ive wanted one of these for a HOT minute! The only problem is so many are wild caught and come in with parasites and who knows what else! I wonder what an albino or melanistic version would look like! Probably like an oil slick on fresh blacktop in the best way!
