I have found many of those, of all sizes, in the last thirty years of looking for artifacts in the Green and Cumberland River areas of Kentucky. I see more of them on Paleo sites than I do any other. I am fascinated by this content.

I used to knap arrowheads for hours upon hours under the bridge for about 5 months while detoxing from heroin and fentanyl and methadone. I got really good at making them from flint and glass bottles.

Such a simple but elegant tool. So different from modern knives, but very useful.

I like the way you blasted off that dlug knife. However you came to this endeavour, your skills are real & may surely help in a survival situation outdoors.

first of all, thanks for all the videos you put out. watching survival tricks and shows as always been my way to relaxe, but yours include something i never encountered and i cant put my finger on what it is but i find myself even more relaxed when i watch your videos so big thanks for that!

Secondly, we always see people knapping stone using a rock and deer antlers, but, if one does not possess any deer antler, would it still be possible to remove thinner piece with a rock ? or could one use another material than deer antler in a survival situation? Again thank you for your great videos.

even if you dont make a blade out of it or arrow heads ...this is a good skill to have for keeping flint and steel sharp for easy sparks or even if you mess up an arrowhead keep it around for flint and steel even half of the flakes he breaks off can make very good sparks and light charcloth on the first strike it just wouldnt last as long as a bigger piece
