PS5 Pro production costs them without the disc drive the same as the PS5 with the disc drive. It costs $699 because they want to see if people will pay $699 for a diskless console. If it sells well, the PS6 will be $699 and diskless. If it doesnāt, the PS6 will be cheaper (maybe $599), with a disc drive included.

Not bad. I paid 599 plus tax so 630 dollars day 1 for ps3.. that was how many years ago? So 70 more dollars for a ps5 thats light work

The problem is that double the processing power doenst equall double the performance. Things like 50 % more power in this case means slightly sharper images and details in the background.
But when you are playing an action game you dont notice that something on the background that tou arent focus on is not 1080p but 2160p.

I want to know.. with my 200 ps4 games.. if i jump to it.. what can i truly expect performance wise and whatnot? Ps5 games are getting support to really make better but what about ps4 titles? Normal ps5 does a little i understand. Im curious.

Heard external disc drive needs to connect with severs. So when ps5 severs are eventually down, the drive wont play games or 4k movies. Do i need to keep OG playstation 5?
