This is the reason I do not rent out my vacation property. It would break my heart to have someone mistreat my property or even worse, disrupt the neighbors. My condo association no longer allows rentals less than one month. No AirBnBs in the complex.

These people are disgusting in so many ways. My Father owned many rental properties back in the 60s,
70s & 80s. but people were so different then. In the '90s as he got older, he sold off all of these properties and said that was one of the best days of his life. He had 1, 2, & 3 family homes so his situation was totally different than what you are doing. You both are sweethearts but have a lot to still learn. Remember never to trust anyone!!

I rented to a friend, and then found out he is okay with living like a pig in a sty. I went into his cottage because I saw his kitchen light flickering and I was in shock at the state of my property. Garbage everywhere, carpet ruined, dishes moldering in the sink, his cat had destroyed the screens.
I have recently asked him to find another place to live after concurrent late payments. I feel like I have been taken advantage of by being a friend.
It's going to cost me so much to make this cottage livable again.
I made it so nice, and was so proud of it before he disrespected my property.
I am going to use this information you've shared to protect my investment.
