Considering the GPU clock was increased by 33% but the FPS went up by less than 10% even with the GPU Boost that CPU side and/or RAM bandwidth is still holding things back. Plus I'm sure they didn't have the GPU Boost turned on by default as not all APUs have a GPU that can handle a 30% overclock. Not to mention the increase in power & heat due to the OC.

my first was an FM2 build, with a Radeon

That was my first custom built PC motherboard i had and i paired it with an A8-6600k. It sucked but at least i could finally play the sims 3 at the time.

The Bulldozer A series is great for retro gaming. I am using an A10 12th gen on my laptop and is pretty good with older games.

You say this is one of the oldest & least capable motherboard combos you own, but I'm willing to bet it would run circles around my single core Pentium 4, + ATI Radeon 9200 SE GPU. Sure it may be ancient by today's standards, but it runs retro games like Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance, Portal, & KOTOR beautifully.

I still have this motherboard around, with an amd A10 7850k. I'm afraid the whole system is coming to it's end cus it gives me tons of WHEA bluescreens anytime I run a demanding game at all
