Just so lovely and moving. What a wonderful man Ron is, a really good, kind, genuine and caring person. If only there were more like him. I lost my Dad when I was a child, and he was only 47, but his caring attitude and willingness to help animals was just like Ron's, and it's so moving to see this lovely video. Dear Ron, you are an amazing man. All best wishes to you, and I'm sure a lot of animals would thank you if they could. I was proud to donate to the sanctuary in honour of your Birthday, and I'm so glad others felt the same xx

That is one fantastic man and I also give a big salute to the anonymous donor. Hillside animal sanctuary is a great place with great people like Wendy Valentine and her staff and volunteers. Also thanks to Martin Shaw for his years of being a patron and a supporter.

What a wonderful, amazing man Ron is and Hillside such a worthy cause. I've been adopting beautiful Doris (the duck) for many years now. A safe haven for so many animals that have had such an appalling start in life. The world would be a much better place with more people like Ron, Wendy and the dedicated carers at the sanctuary in it.

Ron became a vegan just a few months back during his 100th year. People are never too old to change if their hearts are honest and true.
