Now what’s fascinating about Spider-Gwen the character, is that she encompasses the tragic histories of Spider-Man who has faced many losses and Gwen Stacey who tragically dies. And if we look at this Gwen we can see how already her life is like Spider-Man’s as she has lost her friend Peter and also lost her relationship with her father. Hence, with the notion of canon events Gwen becomes fearful of her fatality and pushes Miles away because in different timelines when Gwen falls in love with Spider-Man she dies.
But after seeing the ugly side of Miguel O’Hara she realizes how the fear of canon events can turn you into a monster. So from then on Gwen decides to overcome her fear and do what she believes to be right.
