It's very clear to me that the folks that manufacture FireStick devices do not respect your ownership. Here's a good analogy... I purchased a very nice MSI laptop with Microsoft Windows 11 installed several months ago. Both Microsoft and MSI respect my ownership and have not screwed with the software / firmware to render my laptop useless or even partially useless. You certainly can't say the same about FireStick devices.
