If you haven’t already fixed it you could try adding an explosion effect over the mongoose so it kinda hides the shitty stuff, hell if you really wanted to get fancy you could add the wheels flying out from the explosion so when it’s just the destroyed mongoose it makes some sense, or just redo the shot hehe.
