It's so good to get back to something you love. I danced growing up, and so wanted to become a dance teacher. I knew I wasn't great enough to be full on awesome. But I loved the thought of passing on my knowledge, my passion, all the things I learnt dancing. But my mum wanted the money for herself and my sister, even though it was my dad paying for my lessons and she pushed me out of dance, making me believe I chose not to dance myself.
After I left home, I had 2 kids and was married. I got my oldest daughter 3y at the time into dance. I found I have a genetic condition that affects my collagen, so my muscles, ligaments and tendans, etc, are weaker than average people. Nothing was helpful in getting me stronger again, so I went back to ballet and other dance. It helped me so much with my body. And I realised how much passion I had for dance, who much I wanted it as part of my life and really understood what was taken from me. I danced again for about 10 years. My 2nd oldest daughter is now taken on my legacy and become a dancer, mainly street/hiphop. But she's gone to university to study all types of dance.
I'm 40 now and can't dance anymore, and it's only over the past 7-8y that I've not danced again that I realise just how important it was/is to me. Becoming a teacher really was my biggest dream that I can't now achieve.
So never give up on something you love or just want to try out. Even if it is just a hobby or even something, you then realise it could actually be more. Because one day you absolutely don't want to look back and be left with just the what ifs. Even if you're terrible, if you love it, it's fun and makes you happy. It's 100% worth every moment you do that thing for no one but you.

i loved drawing, compared myself to classmates and lost all skills, i can still doodle a few things but cant draw full drawings anymore. I absolutely LOVE singing too, got discouraged by adults and felt like i wasnt good enough, i got shy after the whole covid thing but i still love singing, I just never have the chance to sing
