These were pretty much "normal" here in Tennessee when we used to get our heavy, wet snows from the late 70's to mid 90's. Haven't had any "real" snow in 27 years.

We recieved over 3" of snow in less than 3 minutes once in the late 80's and I was trying to see if anyone has filmed anything like it.

I was on the phone in my apartment just about to leave for work at lunchtime. It had been raining/sleeting/raining all morning at 33°F. I suddenly started hearing, "plop-plop-plop". Turned to look out my patio door and massive "cow patties" of snow were hitting the ground - and I could hear them land inside with the windows closed! They were 9"-10" across and about 3" thick. A few minutes later they reduced to the size of a huge oak leaf about an inch thick.

Has anyone seen this before?

Holy crap, you guys don't have snow yet? I love Vermont. I lived right outside Stowe for 8 years.

It's ok. I live in Arizona. The other day it hailed, and yesterday it got up to 75
