A sad loophole created by Democrats in DC. Normally a border officer could easily deny entry for Asylees because the Rule for Asylum is: Petition must be made in the nearest contiguous safe nation to their own. Officers would (rightly) ask "How come you didn't file in Mexico? The U.S. isn't contiguous to your home nation, so your status is denied. Goodbye." What Democrats did was remove authority from officers to make this (basic) determination. Only Immigration Judges can make the determination now, which gets illegals inside for nearly a decade (on waivers) before their case can be heard. This is why there are 30 million roaming around now. Corruption. Only 3% ever show up for their court dates. They've now become an undocumented sub-nation.
