They rely too much on the old guard players like Gibson-Park and VDF are also getting on a bit and they don’t yet have an outstanding 10 to fill the void left by Sexton. I can see them falling off quite dramatically in the not too distant future albeit their young players are probably more promising then the options that are coming through for Wales and Scotland.

Nah. Ireland doing it right. Start the young players, get them blooded. Keep the old boys on the bench and in the team to pass on the knowledge. Then the now young players moves to the bench and let the next generation start. Process continues.
Wales didn’t do that, we are now paying the price. Young squad, no one to look up to.

I don't think anyone would mind though if Baird/Casey were there instead so while loose head is an issue, those 2 aren't. If you look at our tight head/centre situation though that is an issue. Furlong/Bealham are 32/33, and Aki/Henshaw/Ringrose/McCloskey are 34/31/29/32, both aging posiitions,there are youngsters coming though Clarkson made his debut at the weekend at TH, Osborne at center, and players like Hugh Gavin, Cathal Forde and Cooney with the U20s, they're not getting much look in, because the 1st//2nd choice are strong albeit ageing. The talent is there the under 20s are unbeaten in the 6ns for the last 3 years, 2 grand slams, coming 2nd on pts difference to England this year, though were unbeaten, and reached u20 world championship final and semi final in recent years.

POM 3 years out od date and even then overrated. Huge gap from JGP to next 9 but there are good players coming through. Casey still selected on the back of his baby photos with munster players. Theyll keep selecting Healy till he gets his record like they did to give Earlsie his 100 caps. Just not a way to select players.
