I’d actually disagree Pixel 1-4 continually build on the features and this was the culmination of the Pixels series offering the most complete package. I had Pixel 4 and it was such a complete experience, face unlock was fantastic, motions sense, edge sense, ambient eq, live hdr+, the telephoto with super res, the two tone antenna less design, 90Hz. I know have the Pixel 8 Pro and miss so many features from that phone including the on device Google Assistant. Fun fact my Pixel 4XL has a longer battery life than my 8 Pro and for some reason nobody complained about the battery life on the new phone.

I'm here to defend. The face unlock and pick to wake that came along with it was awesome. Also prefer the telephoto over the ultra wide. That's why I'm so excited to the telephoto in a phone of this size in the Pixel 9 pro

Face unlock was great, soli ≠ face unlock. I'd give up the ultrawide without second thought, I haven't taken a single ultrawide picture in the last 2 years

I've had tons of Galaxy phones, still have two, I've had the Pixel 2, Pixel 4, I'm currently using a Pixel 7 Pro and the white Pixel 4 I had is til this day my favorite phone ever.

I think everyone was too harsh on Pixel 4 series, google tried to innovate something, but people abandoned them instead of supporting, & most people only use one camera in their phones, the design was also good looking & professional.

Ryan your opinion on the device simply doesn’t reflect the reality. It was a great phone that built on the previous ones with the only weakness being weak battery and lack of direction with the experimental features. But those who had and used it will sing its praises because overall it was a great phone

I still love the Pixel 4 series. Might get another as a backup to use at home.

Currently daily driving the pixel 4, just pissed off that fave unlock doesn't work... apparently it's like that after changing the screen and being an iphone user for some time I gotta say I miss face unlock

I had one of these, yes it sucked, but I did quite like mine a lot. I bought a OnePlus 8 pro, and now I still have that, about 2 years later, and I'm going to get a nothing phone 2a and if I like that phone I'll trade it in for a nothing phone 2 or keep it till the 3 drops

Remember it was the last pixel with a real flagship processor. I think it was the last great pixel in my opinion. It is by no means perfect but I loved it more than the competition at the time but I can't say same for Google latest pixels

The reason google have struggled to improve the pixels camera is because tje guy responsible for the pixels camera algorithm (Marc Levoy) left over disputes regarding the pixel 4 development. Without him its been pretty much a crawl for google as thwy are pretty much a vegetable company who struggle to attract real talent.

what's wild is that the pixel 4a is considered one of the BEST pixels ever made, just because it was essentially a pixel 4 with all the crap taken out for like less than half the price.
