Why can’t those teachers recognize that their method doesn’t work for some kids? Why do they not really >>SEE<< those kids? Finding out in middle age that I have adhd makes me extremely angry. I feel betrayed and failed by every single adult who interacted with me as a child and passed the buck onto someone else leaving me more and more damaged with each new assessment of ‘the problem child’. What about my parents? Hard working but they didn’t really pay attention to me or my constant outcries for help. I’m so angry. I can’t even speak to my mom atm. My whole life I was made to feel like a bad person who makes poor life choices. And now I see it was their fault for not taking care of me properly because I was disabled! 🤬

Yeah, I was one of those kids who did great in school, but only because I spent all day everyday working on assignments. And the the assignments I wouldn’t get done were always the ones that had a far way deadline. I did assignments based on when they were due, so those long term ones were always forgotten about until I had barely any time to do it.
Same with studying. I have no idea how to study. Because the point of it is to refresh your knowledge, but I either learned it or didn’t. If I didn’t, then studying felt like trying to teach myself this new information. If I did learn it, then why would I be studying it?
