Well I think we have to define fundamentalism as well. Many of the Puritans and protestants during the President reformation called themselves fundamentalists, meaning they hold to the fundamentals of the Christian faith. But 20th century America has completely changed the definition of fundamentalist all together, we now associate fundamentalism as a rigid wooden and more extreme version of Christianity in viewing the Bible.
I would say I hate fundamentalism I think it’s destroyed peoples perception of Christianity, A lot of people end up just leaving the faith altogether. End it can really color peoples perception and minds to the point where they’re stuck with their fundamentalist Sunday school kindergarten understanding of Christianity forever in some instances, like Matt Dillahunty. And it’s also pretty much destroyed Christianity‘s reputation in America.
