1. The album was intended as a tribute to Syd Barrett, one of the band's original members, who had left the band due to mental health issues. The opening track, "Shine On You Crazy Diamond," was specifically written for Barrett.
2. The famous "wind" sound at the beginning of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" was created by blowing through a microphone into a Leslie speaker.

Eclipse is not on the Wish You Were Here album. Itâs on Dark Side of the Moon which is why it references the dark side of the moon. đ
