Heart Evangelista took her oath as president of the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc. (SSPFI) last Wednesday. In the new role, she will be committed to projects focused on women and children, as well as continuing the initiatives started under previous leaderships.

"I am bravely taking on the duties," she said in her speech. "It is inspiring to see what we can all accomplish with the kind of changes we can all make together."

Last year, she fronted Vogue Philippines' November cover after a whirlwind slew of fashion week shows, shot in studio and on the streets of Paris in Louis Vuitton. “They built this story around this love affair I have with Fashion Week, what I do for fashion," Heart told Vogue about the shoot, which had photographer Fabien Montique, stylist Melissa Levy, and herself all collaborating for the first time. “It was so nice to work with all these people who flew in. There’s this magic about first times.”
