Well cultures tend to be influenced, but I would argue never diluted, unless by force, which I don't think it is the case with Ireland.
That is my obeservation as an outsider.
I think Irish are very conservatory when is their culture and heritage about and I support it very much. I would also wish you use irish language more often in daily life, that is something that is slowly dying out in Ireland.
Again, I'm an outsider and don't live in Ireland, so I may be wrong.

Back in reality, it is simply IMPOSSIBLE to have a thriving culture when you are dog poor and losing up to 2% of your population to emigration every year, which was the case in the 1950s in Ireland.

The first Fleadh Cheol was held in Mullingar back in the 1950s. Less than 50 people turned up.

The most recent Fleadh was held in Wexford this year. Around 600,000 people turned up!

The claim that prosperity will dilute our culture is pure horse manure!

Irish keep to themselves in Dublin. Seems like they keeping their culture just fine. They don't really mix outside the work place(which isn't much by the way). Ive been on Dublin for over a year. If you mean there is more immigrants, then yes there is a lot more immigrants. Can't have your cake and eat it.

Smithfield is still a centre of cultural events and open air music, but no busker can pay rent in Dublin

Dublin is too multicultural now, which dilutes Irish culture.
