#shorts The results of this simple experiment may surprise you. We have two different ramps that a metal ball can roll down. Stay until the end to see which metal ball made it down the fastest.

I’m curious how well this holds up when you adjust where on the bumpy hill, the ball starts at. Seems like starting it at a steeper decline instantly gives it an advantage.

The "bumpy" one has an average steeper slope....

Any skateboarder could have answered this correctly

Reason why: the ramp on the lift may be bumpy, but the angle at which both ramps are head makes it so that the 'upward' part of the bumps act more like an area that is level. However, there are still doward parts on the left track, so it goes in, not only level areas, but steep areas as well, making it gain momentum in the forward direction on the higher parts of the track and more downward momentum in the steeper parts that feed into the upper parts' foward momentum. Meanwhile, the ball on the right track is going in an area that stays at a constant steepness, so it does not get more extreme momentum in either direction.
