My visit to the Andrés Pico Adobe, one of the oldest adobes still standing in LA. It was named after the Mexican general during the Mexican-American war, but he never actually lived there – though it was the primary residence of his son Rómulo and his family. It now houses a fun museum of historical artifacts, related both to the adobe itself and to the San Fernando Valley in general. It's also the main headquarters of the San Fernando Valley Historical Society.
