Coloured vinyl does not sound as good as black vinyl. You donāt believe me ? Well get a blue copy of āinto the gapā by the Thompson Twins and compare it to the black version- I did . A coloured dye wont impart hardness into the vinyl like carbon black. How many plays is this coloured vinyl going to take before sound quality starts to suffer. All that wizardry in the mastering studio only to be undermined by the marketing folk who think this colour is a great idea. Maybe for collectors but not audiophiles. At least offer releases in Black for those that can tell the difference.
