The instructions for the BBX tell you to use a brushless motor system with this kit. For me, I wanted to build this as a retro kit as though the motor and ESC came with the kit as with most Tamiya kits. So...that was my plan until I discovered a few issues. So I found a work around and can now keep going. We'll see how this all pans out!

I got the bbx kit in a week ago, but i'm running into these snags like the low profile servo and pinion fitment on the 540 torque tuned motor i bought. I ordered a cheaper amazon servo and of course they sent a broken, wrong servo, but in the right box. back to square one.. and looking for that pinion now too.
