Heās absolutely correct. The heart and soul of KISS was in Aceās style of playing and his unique sound through his solos.
Gene and Paul admit that, when they auditioned him and said, thatās the sound weāre looking for.

Ace has always been the one i enjoyed watching while he was on stage. He gave the best performances. He was what a Lead Guitarist should look like.

Ace Frehley, alongside Eddie Kramer, really gave KISS that raw and infectious rocking edge. KISS were really heavy with Ace playing, alongside Eric Carr after he replaced Peter Criss. Ace's 1978 solo album was actually THE most rocking album of the bunch, and also, very good. Paul Stanley even said that he was surprised that Ace made a good album. Not only that, Ace is responsible for writing several KISS classics, such as "Cold Gin", "Parasite" co-wrote "Coming Home" with Paul, "Strange Ways", "Getaway", co-wrote "Flaming Youth" with Gene, Paul and Bob Ezrin, "Shock Me", "Rocket Ride" (co-wrote with Sean Delaney), "Hard Times", "Save Your Love" "Torpedo Girl" (co-wrote with Vini Poncia), and last but not least, his two best songs of the KISS era, which are "Talk To Me" and "Two Sides of the Coin", with Dark Light (co-wrote with Gene, Bob Ezrin, Anton Fig and Lou Reed) and "Escape From the Island" (co-wrote with Bob Ezrin and Eric Carr) getting honorable mention.
Ace is one of THE Best guitarists not just in rock music, but also, one of THE best in the world. Ace is truly a great guitarist. Thanks for uploading.

I honestly believe that Ace was the reason they ever got anywhere..His leads made those songs come alive ! Such a shame that He succumbed to the trappings of the business but atleast He's still alive.

During their prime years in the '70s and at the reunion years in the mid '90s (I saw them in '97) when Ace hit the center of the stage for a solo, the crowd always went nuts. For me, Ace just has that authentic rock star appeal. The dude is just real. And man I love his tone.
