Kayak End Pours - reinforcement and adding handles

Onto the finer details of the kayak - adding sleeve for carrying handles and end pours. Unfortunately, I ended up doing this on one of the windiest days of the summer, not recommended, but I had something to tie the end of the boat to, so I didn’t have to worry. The end pours serve 2 purposes for me, holding the stainless steel sleeves in place, which I’ll use to hold the carrying handles later, and more importantly, reinforcing the ends of the boat for added structure and protection in case of impact. The end pours are @totalboat epoxy mixed with silica thickener (though I recommend micro balloons instead, but I used what I had in hand).

Perfect cut from the wind warning on the epoxy to the shot of the trees blowing

Keep practicing you'll get there one day and be able to really cook. So important when your learning is not to get discouraged eventually you will work out all the kinks.Cant wait to see your finished build.🎉

That kayak is a work of art.
I could never actually take it on the water because the first time I scraped the bottom or the bow, I would be on my couch for the rest of the day.
