That’s the Altit Fort in Hunza Valley, Gilgit Baltistan and it is found in Pakistan. The region has little forests because the mountain range is presumably either Hindu Kush, Karakoram, or Himalayas and in high altitudes, the mountains become rocky and infertile, and the land near the river is fertile and moist, leading to more vegetation there.

That's Pakistan, baltit fort, gilgit. Do visit there, this vid of when there's monsoon, clouds and the colour of the river is gray from monsoon too otherwise the colour of the river is always turquoise, I've went there.
