Because of that ending, I have a really dark theory about Oz. Oz could actually be the after life. So everyone except for the witches are dead. So, the reason we don’t see Toto in the being must be that the window must’ve hit him too and Toto died. Maybe even Dorothy died. But who knows. The witches could be like angels.

Another example of the movie changing so much from the book, and leaving people believing the movie was the original.
If it was made today, the idea of it all being magic and a real place would sell it better.
