The pilot featured in this video is Wayne Molnar, who served on the Blue Angels when the Team transitioned from the A4 Skyhawk to the F-18 Hornet. Prior to joining the Blues, he flew the F-14 Tomcat as part of VF-2 "The Bullets" while on deployment.

His last comment sums it up "Yeah, they're all great"

"Because I've had training in that" is a very effective reason. Also, "fun" reminded me of Van Halen's music video for "Dreams"

It’s like the old warbird saying you get in a hurricane you put on a spitfire

Heinemann's Hotrod! The Skyhawk was the perfect Blue Angels' aircraft! Love the Scooter!

Loved to watch the A4s that would RON at Kunsan AB in the 70s whenever the Midway was participating in an exercise in the Yellow Sea. They had their own special way of taking off….not like the straight out and turn left F4s we had.

And during combat (proven in Vietnam), Scooter would get the pilot home - even with heavy airframe damage.
Great little bird ... worked on these when I was in the Marine Corps.

When I was a kid, the Blue Angels were flying the A-4. I was so obsessed with them and that jet, that I had recurring dreams that we had one ready to fly in the driveway of our house 😂

You my good sir lived my dreams, the reason i couldn't live my dream is due to being diagnosed with tourette's, adhd, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and anger problems due to all of that. I'm also 6'2 and the tallest you can be is around 6'6. With a helmet on I'd be 6'5 pushing it too the max

Twin engine bomb trucks are awesome.
But fighters are really awesome.
