I agree! I think the companies focus on designing wheels for allready advanced riders. While a reliable commuter under 1000usd might have mutch bigger potential.

Aviation grade safety standards is the only thing that can make it ready for mass adaptation.
Unfortunately speed is what current drivers want and companies listen to their current customers.
They don't focus on the long term.
They should make eucs that are so safe that they can get legalised all over the world.

Speed improvements = technological improvements = finding the limits, testing the limits, injection of big money investments, advertising, sponsors, & tv promotions. Which leads to investments in consumer grade markets. This is a proven strategy for improving & testing products before large investments are made in the general consumer markets. Every automobile, motorcycle, and aircraft is done this way. EUCs will be no different.

I agree! At the moment it looks like the companies are trying to compete for the customers that already own an EUC and want another or an upgrade, instead of aiming on getting new customers to get their first EUC. I think we still need a cheap and light EUC, but with with the safety and comfort that the new generations have. Imagine an EUC that does 35 or 40 km/h with 50 km of range, but with good light, safety, trolley and maybe a suspension.
