Aaj hum laaye hain aap ke liye ek zabardast aur lazeez dish – Qeema Masoor Pulao!
Is recipe mein aap seekhein ge kaise qeema aur masoor dal ke unique combination se ek masaledar aur aromatic pulao banaya jaata hai. Ye dish na sirf khaas moqaon ke liye perfect hai, balke rozana ke khaanon mein bhi ek behtareen addition ban sakti hai.

Ingredients:

For Rice:
Basmati rice: 2 cups (washed and soaked for 30 minutes)
Water: 6 cups
Whole spices: 2 bay leaves, 4 cloves, 2 green cardamoms, 1 cinnamon stick
Salt: 1 tbsp

For Qeema Masoor Mixture:
Minced meat (qeema): 250g
Masoor dal: ½ cup (washed and soaked for 15 minutes)
Onion: 2 medium (finely sliced)
Tomatoes: 2 medium (chopped)
Green chilies: 2 (sliced)
Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tbsp
Yogurt: ½ cup

Whole spices: 1 tsp cumin seeds, 2 black cardamoms, 1 star anise

Ground spices: 1 tsp red chili powder, ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp garam masala powder, 1 tsp coriander powder

Oil/ghee: ½ cup
Salt: to taste

Instructions:
Step 1: Cook Rice
1. In a large pot, boil water with whole spices and salt.

2. Add soaked rice and cook until 70% done. Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Prepare Qeema Masoor Mixture

1. Heat oil in a pot and fry sliced onions until golden brown.

2. Add ginger-garlic paste and stir for 1 minute.

3. Add qeema and cook until it changes color.

4. Add chopped tomatoes, green chilies, and ground spices. Cook until oil separates.

5. Add soaked masoor dal and 1 cup water. Cover and cook on medium heat until dal and qeema are tender.

6. Stir in yogurt and cook for another 2 minutes.

Step 3: Assemble and Cook Pulao

1. In the same pot with the qeema masoor mixture, layer half the cooked rice.

2. Sprinkle some fried onions and garam masala powder.

3. Add the remaining rice and top with a few green chilies or coriander leaves (optional).

4. Cover the pot and steam (dum) on low heat for 15–20 minutes.

Step 4: Serve
Fluff the rice gently with a fork and serve hot with raita, salad, or chutney!
