Rufous Hornero build a mud house [Awesome engineering] :

🪺One of the ovenbirds and a member of the woodcreeper family is the rufous hornero. It has a filthy white supercilium, a long, slightly curved bill, and a somewhat thrush-like appearance.

🪺It is the national bird of Argentina and is fairly prevalent in open areas in the southern part of South America east of the Andes.

🪺They frequently can be observed on the ground gathering mud or dung for their amazing nests. These resemble miniaturised versions of the ovens (or "hornos") that are common outside of homes in rural South America. Thus, the Spanish word for baker, "Hornero," and the English term "Ovenbirds."

🪺These nests are constructed in prominent tree branches or on any proper man-made structure, such as telephones or electrical posts.

🪺The 3 to 4 chicks are kept safe from predators and the wind in the two-chamber nests, which often include an entrance that faces away from the direction of the wind.
