We did this in January. Just my husband and I. I was shocked when I saw our bank statement. Shopping just for milk, eggs, cream, fresh fruit and vegetables, we spent $425 in January. Average grocery spending is $1000+.
So proud of ourselves. Hubby is refilling what we are lacking (still have a lot of meat left) and we’re going to do another month, starting tomorrow.

Despite having 1.5 degrees after too many years in school, I feel like I have failed at life after watching this amazing video. "Zero grocery shopping." I was blown. Why did i bother with my useless degrees when you are showing us what real life is.

If you ever forget the yeast again, don't dissolve in water and add flour like you mentioned as you don't want to mess with the water/flour ratio. There are plenty of bread recipes where the chefs are not blooming the yeast (just adding dry yeast in with the flour). Just add the yeast to the flour mixture, toss into the stand mixer with the dough hook and mix for a couple of minutes to distribute the yeast and back in the fridge like nothing happened. Because you are doing a long ferment everything will work out fine. 💖🌞
