After seeing the children reading letters to the President about Sandy Hook and Guns on TV, my lovely daughter took it upon herself to write the President a letter as well. When she showed me what she had written and asked me to send it for her I was so impressed I had to get it on camera. My daughter never ceases to amaze me. I was very proud to see that, although she is affected and empathetic to the tragedy, she still was able to logically come to her own conclusions of what an appropriate response would be. I wonder sometimes whether the values I have tried to impress upon her are able to penetrate the bombardment of outside influences. Needless to say I was so happy to hear what she really thinks. I was just so proud of her for this. It goes to show that as a whole, we are not represented equally in this country.

So we sent the letter today and I hope that the President will invite US to read it at his next press conference. I cant wait to visit the white house!-LOL-(but I wont hold my breath for that invite.) If he wants to use the children as his excuse for taking actions to rescrict our rights, then Im sure he means ALL children, right? What about this child? My child? Yours? I personally wouldnt suggest 7 year olds be the ones to advise the President on policy, but, hey. If thats the way its done, our kids should be represented equally. Right?

Lily is a wonderful child, who truly cares for the people and the world around her. Gifted in many ways. So,if anyone is losing hope out there, please don't....just have faith and patience because this child is going to someday grow up to change the world!! For GOOD! I am So proud of my baby girl!!
