Absolutely!
My 1stgen tundra has 247 ,000 miles. Solid truck. It has the AC Cab, 6ā€™bed, 4x4 w/limited slip locking diff and finally the awesome 4.7l 2UZ power plant. Nuff said.
The key is Maintenanceā€¦

I got a 06 Double cab you can fit 3 big coolers/ Rubbermaids for camping gear in the backseat ||| this way. Instead of only 2 -- that way with a truck with a smaller backseat. We got a midrise cap and made a simple setup with 2x8s and plywood. Got a tri fold mattress from amazon. Id never get a RTT

I Love my 2003 Tundra SR5 TRD OFF ROAD V8 4.7L, 6ft bed with 193,000 miles. And runs like a scalded dog. šŸ¤

Iā€™d go for an access cab myself, Iā€™d only need it for winter, and that beast can take about anything, I want nothing but a Toyota V8 they just go and will not stop, like my 200,000 mile 3UZ SC430

Frame rust is #1 issue if it comes from anywhere with snow
