So my wife before met was kind of into DIY. Well bought a few ryobi tools. Well is happened to leave my bag in dudes car that had my Milwaukee stuff in it. So I ended up testing the Rhobi brushless stuff actually worked great for what it as needed. I wouldn’t trust it to fall from ceiling truss though. My Milwaukee has serviced the fall numerous times.
Basically for work at home. I’ve still seen people on site with Roybi stuff and
It kicked ass. ahhahaha

If anyone wants to give me the difference in price I will trade all of my Ryobi tools for DeWalt. Not all of us get stuff for free or work for more than minimum wage.
I have 2 drills and a 5½" circular saw from 2008 that still work. And a reciprocating saw and a flashlight from 2009 that are still going strong. Back then I only had a high school budget.
I don't think there are very many people who would say DeWalt is not better than Ryobi because it's the price difference that sometimes matters.

Personally I would invest more in drill bits and saw blades than I would in the actual power tools because many of the battery platforms today deliver quite the performance paired with a high end blade/bit and you’ve got a professional tool what really makes it a tool brand the amount of tools they offer on one platform and the type that they offer

I worked at HD when Dewalt came out. Black and Decker put out the Black and Decker professional line that all the contractors crapped on. B&D bought Dewalt for the name, I shipped all the B&D professional line back to them and they sent me back EXACTLY what I sent them with yellow Dewalt cases. Contractors swore it was the next coming. Today's Ryobi is levels better than contractor grade of 30 years ago.
