precisely my argument in my family, they are so engrossed with finding something to work on, i argue, whats the point of starting a biz you can never scale up, delegate work to more employees and never have free time on demand? they would then accuse me of laziness, to which i would admit as true, im too lazy to be caged in a single job, coz i want to be free to create shop no. 2, no. 3, etc., increase the income being made, versus still just at x1, on your own, alone, 20yrs later touching senior citizen status and still hauling ass, unable to afford to leave the shop lest it stops working if you disappear.

Couldn't agree more. I've thought this for a long time. It makes me cringe when I hear people use the word entrepreneur because it is so overused nowadays. Everyone calls themself an entrepreneur. A side hustle does not make you an entrepreneur.
