Yeah some guys on the discord are being snobs about Dane from Learn Irish - I think they’re trying to help, but it feels a little like gatekeeping. A dead language needs as many heads as possible! It should keep its integrity but snobbery isn’t helping it grow, that’s cutting it down.

Slán 😀👋🏻 this is not the energy we’re bringing to seachtain na Gaeilge! On a serious note, if you ever see comments like this or if anyone ever says anything like this to you, don’t give them the light of day. I love love love to hear an Ghaeilge in all different kinds of accents. I have 2 friends who are native speakers and they mistook me for one even though I don’t sound like them.
