As an adult playing Thomas the Tank Engine videos for my son, I had a moment where I realized that every time Sir Topham Hatt threatens to send a train to the smelter's if they don't behave, he's literally threatening to murder them. 😳

This was absolutely terrifying as a child. Sentient home appliances and cars that loved you.

LOVED this movie as a kid. The Air Conditioner in the living room gave me legit nightmares. He was so mean.

Watched this movie at least 100 times as a kid. The visuals and songs from this movie are etched in my mind forever.

Meanwhile, the poster says, "An adorable adventure kids will treasure". You know the reviewer in Chicago Sun Times was BRIBED to say that when every child knows this movie is dark a.f.😅

The song worthless isn’t just about being broken. They are tired, self disgusted, and torn between remembering good times and wanting to die.

This video opened and said “I just rewatched the brave little toaster” and my immediate response was “don’t do that”😅

I remember being deeply terrified by this movie, but also weirdly kinda empathizing with them. They’re all trying so hard, and everything is so big and scary, but they kept going!

I love this movie. Terrifying, but really good. Maaaaaybe not a great movie for kids, though. ^_^;

I loved this movie! That song they sang while they were waiting to die was fire. With all the other traumatic af movies they made during our childhoods, I think I was traumaed out at this point 😅

I'm in London. I watched this on a VHS tape I found in some beat up poundstrechers and it ruined me. But what made it worse was that none of my friends had ever seen this film, so not only did I have these crazy memories of it, but I also grew up believing I'd made it all up 😂😂

This was my favorite movie. Explains so much, I’m filled to the brim with existential dread. 🎉

Yes! And also there’s the fire nightmare, the AC breaking/dying, Kirby having a mental break…this movie is a horror.

But also was my favorite.
