No one’s going to like this, but mapleshade is selfish and entitled, she tries to kill a pregnant queen and even before this, and before she lost her kits she disrespected birchface’s memory by allowing the clan to believe they were his. She calls it a gift from Starclan, the same Starclan who made the rules she broke to have those kits. She gets her kits killed and because of her entitlement she never thinks she was in the wrong, people say frecklewish should have saved them but 1. She didn’t watch long enough to see them die 2. She was a thunderclan cat and couldn’t swim any better than mapleshade could and 3. She was also a grieving shecat who had just been told what she thought were her dead brother’s kits were actually those of his murderer and couldn’t have been thinking anymore clearly than mapleshade was. Mapleshade went though something awful, but she caused it and because of it killed three completely innocent cats. Appledusk was a filthy cheater, but he didn’t deserve to die.
