Innovative? Nas made illmatic, ether, rewind, you gave me power, hip hop is dead, and carved out a way for older hip hop artists to have a career Renaissance. I mean, the man rapped as a fetus, a woman (Sekou story and Live now off SD). He turned his nasir album into a movie. Nas rapped about aliens and sexified fried chicken and made the big logo chains a thing.
