Hidden between mountains and trees somewhere in the Peloponnese lies a complex of lakes and waterfalls. This is the so-called Blue Lake of Messinia.

In the heart of the Peloponnese, the exotic Polylimnio surprises. It is an unexpectedly dreamy place, near the village of Haravgi and 34 km from Kalamata . Although the spot is not obvious, access is easy. Head from Kalamata towards Pylos to Haravgi. From there begins the path that leads to Polylimnio. Leave your vehicle in the parking lot and continue on foot. To find the gorge you will pass through dense vegetation and cross wooden bridges . The walk takes about 20 minutes. In some places it is a bit more difficult, but definitely worth it.

Polylimnio owes its beauty to the uneven terrain of the area. Its ups and downs between rocks and trees lead the waters and form its waterfalls and 15 lakes. All beautiful, they look like they came out of a movie. Kadoula , home to a 25 - meter-high waterfall, was named after its heart-like shape. Mavrolimna is not only black. Half of its green waters enjoy natural shade from the vegetation. Mavri Limna - other than Mavrolimna - has its own small waterfall.
