I've avoided McDonald's for a decade at this point. Local one had rotting food sitting with fresh food and got fined by the health department till they had the rotting food thrown out and had an exterminator treat for the bugs.
Meanwhile one of the local restaurants just had their head chef caught taking a squat by the external freezer then going back to prepping the ingredients for the day.
Overall, people are less hygienic than you'd hope.

I remember not long ago a McDonald's by me had ecoli and i swear it's not uncommon so im not surprised at all. I dont eat McDonald's because every time i do i get sick. I ate it for the first time in years a few months ago and i was on the toilet for the next 24 hours. That place is nasty, id rather eat my food at home. The only place i get fast food from now is the taco joints and at least they make everything from scratch.

This is one time where being a little unreasonable has worked in my favor. I stopped going to McDonald’s when I was directed to a kiosk to give my order, by the person standing at the cash register.
