Why do you use the word “empath”? Is it even a real thing?

Although I still self sabotage others with how I am feeling (not proud of this) this information of highly sensitive folk (I also work with autistic folk) is so important I really don't have the words for it.

Eh, I guess I favor a clinical approach. "Highly sensitive" traits could result from having ADHD, or childhood trauma, or codependency/enmeshment, or being on the autism spectrum...each diagnosis calls for different treatments. So I don't see the value of lumping them all together.
