Travelling anywhere in the world that has a different language to American or English means you should know a few words to make the passage easier. The same applies for foreigners Travelling abroad. Please, thank you, where is ... how do I?... how much is that?

I remember speaking basic French greetings such as bon jour, merci, s’il vous plaît, etc.,the locals were very receptive, appreciative that we were trying to speak French. This was back in 1988 tho😂
