Harry S Truman... the "S" doesn't stand for anything; he did not have a middle name. Truman sold hats for a living before going into politics, and when he left the White House, Congress worked out the details to give him a pension. He had no wealth whatsoever.

Read Truman's biography, you will have so much respect for him, and wish we had ANY politicians with his integrity.
