Pretty sure Jinx knew the gloves are powered by hextech. She literally says 'Well done, sis' , indicating she saw at least half of the barfight against Sevika. All them sparkles and the shield ought to be an indicator. Also; she already has a gem...

The gauntlets are cool looking, better then the first season, but I think you are right. It's an advantage for Jinx beacuse she can now easily steal the Gem right from under Vi's nose and use it for who knows what. I wonder why this is in the new season and I'm eager to find out. Only 13 more days!

There’s a theory that jinx actually made the gauntlets as vis new league skin has blueprints for the gauntlets with notes that look like they’re from jinx ?? Incredibly far fetched but I’m also still not completely convinced vi is fighting jinx in that scene since it looks like ekko and jinx are on the same side + vi is flying w ekko

My guess is they are probably made by Heim and Ekko, when Heim meets Ekko for the first time under the bridge, he states how a feature of Ekko's board (the shape of the turbine I think?) is (seemingly) unecessarily dangerous, which Ekko explains is actually something he added to make the board better, and how it is worth doing despite the risk
I suspect something similar with the gaunlets, they have this risk to them, but it has an equal or better payoff which is worth the risk

Unless there’s a mechanism to hide those gems or even a way of tricking an opponent to grab either gem only to be repelled by a force field then those gloves feel more like a prototype with a few new bells and whistles using some spare already made extra gauntlets as the base for a new model that Jayce would’ve planned for the future for whatever it was meant for. Because if the sisters do go for round 2 or 3 then Vi is gonna have a hard time swinging those lumbering metal gloves around assuming it doesn’t break her back leaving her vulnerable to Jinx ending her.

i actually like the new design. most likely the council took the gauntlets from vi when vi was on her emo arc. so they improved the gauntlets before vi rightfully and most likely stole them back

Lighter wnd more compact. They are smaller than the other ones so my guess the gautlets use more magical ability and less industrial use as they were originally designed.

The only one really fast enough to grab the hex gem thing is jinx but they’re both good now
