I was the caregiver for my 64 years old brother. One day he just said I can't walk .I thought he joking or playing around. But he never walked again. We had to take him in and out of bed daily until he passed away 😪 he was a dancers and singer

Yes. They might be able to unload a dishwasher but finding where they filed away the dishes...that's the trouble.

For my hubby it’s the reverse and I feel sad for him because before that he was an active person.

Natali, I am Australian and am living with my 74 y/o husband who has some very noticeable dementia symptoms. I feel afraid if where this is going, and what my role is becoming. It has been 2 years since his first psychotic episodes so as I am watching his slow or non existent responses to what used to be his very quick thinking ones, I need help. The one person I have is my sister in law who lives in the city while we live country. I feel worried for us here at home. My instincts have been good and align with your teaching. Thanks. I appreciate your advice.

I’m a caregiver with an agency and currently have a client who is physically capable of doing tasks, but unable to complete due to getting lost mentally. My question for you is, are these “shorts” leading to more info that will help family members or professional caregivers with strategies?

It wasn't complicated, but when my brother, a carpenter for 50+ years, got a hammer in his hand to fix loose fence pickets, he lit up and seemed himself for a while.
I was there to keep him from getting confused.

The Elvis magazine got me triggered, my MIL has a whole collection of Elvis themed magazines and books and she spends her days ripping out pages and tearing them apart.
